Region: Rioja, Spain
Grape Variety: Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo
Rating: DWWA 96
Highlights / Critic Review:
The vineyard “Pago El Rincón” is located in Rioja Alta at an altitude of 491 metres with gently sloping terrain.
Hand-harvested and then selected by bunch and berry. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Maturation was carried out in hybrid barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Deep Garnet in color. Intense aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and blackcurrant combining with layers of cocoa, caramel and tobacco notes. Earthy and velvety on the palate with ripe tannins and a long harmonious finish.
Good to pair with meat carpaccios, roast and chargrilled red meats.
