Region: Margaux, Bordeaux, France
Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Rating: Bettane et Deseauve 15/20
Highlights / Critic Review:
The 2nd wine of Chateau Dauzac. Labastide is produced in the estate’s renovated cellars with the same care and attention as its older brother, Château Dauzac, in order to express its own version of this unique Médoc terroir.
Tasting Notes:
A powerful nose of red fruit, especially when the wine is swirled in the glass. The bouquet also reveals hints of vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, it has a good concentration for future ageing.
Good to pair with game, duck breast, or beef with ceps.
