Region: Alsace, France
Grape Variety: Riesling
Rating: WE 89
Highlights / Critic Review:
Estate grown organic grapes;various hill-sides around the little village of Bergheim with a predominance ofheavy soils compound by clay and limestone.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of lime and grapefruit, candied cedar and a touch of smoke. On the palate, a nice acid freshness with a linear structure and a finish with a nice peppery touch.
Good to pair with freshwater fish in sauce and fish terrines, as well as vegetable and eggplant lasagna.
