Region: Alsace, France
Grape Variety: Gewurztraminer
Rating: WE 92
Highlights / Critic Review:
Estate owned organic grapes. Average 40 years old vines. Complex style of Gewurztraminer.
Tasting Notes:
Golden yellow in colour. On the nose, frank and intense, racy, dominated by exotic nuances, grapefruit, banana, lychee, papaya and rose. With aeration, the nose becomes more elegant, distinguished and precise, showing exotic tropical fruit aromas, mango, spices and candied ginger. On the palate, rich and smooth, ample, enhanced by a saline freshness providing relief and elegance.
Good to pair with lacquered duck, foie gras terrines and desserts made with shortbread pasta.
